License Information

LICENSE INFORMATION:

OPERATOR OF UNINSPECTED PASSENGER VESSEL (OUPV/6PAK): This license has long been the most popular license issued by the Coast Guard. Carrying not more than 6 passengers. License good for 100 miles offshore.
Requirements are:

360 Days boating experience with 90 days of that time offshore (beyond the shore line)

CPR & First Aid card

Physical exam & Drug Test

*Adams Marine Seminars Certificate of Passing

* The course duration is 54.5 total hours of classroom lecture and chart work. Highly qualified, personable instructors! Test immediately after the class. You do not have to test with the Coast Guard!!

UPGRADE - MASTER NEAR COASTAL, 100 gross tons. Complete the OUPV / 6 Pak Requirements are:

720 Days boating experience with 360 days of that time offshore (beyond the shore line)

CPR & First Aid card

Physical exam & Drug Test

* This course duration is 24 hours (3 days). Train with the same highly qualified, personable instructors who teach the OUPV! Test immediately after the class and send certificate of passing to the Coast Guard for your license!

LIMITED to 2 COUNTIES IN FLORIDA LICENSE. Great for the fishing guide or sightseeing boat in any 2 adjoining Florida counties.
Requirements are:

360 days boating experience

CPR & First Aid card

Physical exam & Drug Test

* This course duration is 30.5 hours. No chart work involved. Short course with easier exam than the OUPV - N.C. Test immediately after the class.

COMMERCIAL FISHING VESSEL DRILL CONDUCTOR TRAINING
This is a 1 day course covering the Coast Guard requirements for "certain" Commercial Fishing Vessels. Includes a lot of "hands on".
